TK Update!

Last week I started my second job as a fitness instructor. I was a little nervous but after a good pep talk from Tyler and Cammie I was ready to go. Campus Rec hosts a free week where people can come and try the classes. During free week I had a great turnout and I currently have 17 people enrolled. Last night I also had 4 additional students show up. My boss, the staff, and the students have all been a blast. I absolutely love teaching and hope I can make a difference for my students. One of the added benefits has been pushing myself to a higher physical level. Group fitness is a huge motivator and I love seeing my students leave with smiles and red faces. This has been great so far and I can't wait to do more!

Thank You!

I am always impressed by the generosity of others. I want to thank all of you who have donated to the MS walk up to this point. Within only a few days our team is up to $125.00! Thanks, thanks, thanks!
Don't worry there is still plenty of time for you who want to donate. We also have some fun/cool/totally awesome fundraisers that will kick off in the next 2 weeks~

MS Walk 2009: We Can Make A Difference!

Bloggers, friends, and family! I am so excited to announce that team tootsie roll is up a running. This year my friends and family (and any of you who would like to join) are walking in the MS walk. Our goal is to raise $1,000.00 for MS research and support.
Why I care about MS

My mom is my hero! She is an amazing person who has overcome many of the challenges of MS. Some of you who have met my mom, or know of her, would never guess she has this horrible disease. The reason why you don't know is because she never complains, she lives her best life, and she is constantly helping others. My mom has had times where she couldn't walk, write her name, or even see. Despite all of this my Mom raised five kids, is the first lady of Castle Dale (the Queen of Castle Dale), serves in the Stake Young Women's presidency and keeps all of us together! She is a woman of courage and strength and has more faith than most people could ever dream of having! I can only hope to be the kind of mother and wife that she is!

To join our team or to donate to our cause please click the tootsie roll on the sidebar. You can donate any amount of money you like! Even $5.00 towards this cause makes a difference.

To join our team you will need the team password which is calikins.

Back from Wyomin'

We had a blast visiting Christian, Cammie and the wild meowzers this past weekend! It was hard to leave, they are very missed! Here are a few of the fun things we did.
Arrived! I was so excited to see them!

Took a trip to see Christians coal mine. We all took advantage of the photo op!

Ate delicious food. Here we are at Bonsai a yummy chinese place. Carter practicing with his chopsticks.

We attended the Rock Springs church and had a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Cali and I drew princesses, ballerinas, fairies etc. We went on a walk and then we made fairy cookies.

Later that night we got our Wii on! We all fun, Cammie and I kept pushing the wrong buttons and Tyler and Christian kept busy by screaming at us~!

I also had a great time working out with Cammie at the Rock Springs Rec Center. We did weights on Saturday and Body Bar on Monday it was a blast! We got our shop on and I found some great deals. I had to leave my pants with Cammie to hem.

A few memories that were made:

Carter praying: Heavenly Father please bless that I can watch my movie, and that we won't get filthy.

Cammie realizing that princess Lea and Luke Skywalker are brother and sister!

Tyler discovering the joy of actual good chinese food!

Cali repeatedly trying to kiss Tyler on the lips.

When we were playing the Wii Christian would set up a paddle for Cali and she would play along side someone else. (So she acutally isn't playing but she thinks she is) After pretend beating Tyler, Me, Cammie and Christian she pulled me aside and said, "The wii is kind of "lame" because I always win, should I give my Dad a chance to win?"

Christian getting "healthy" by drinking protein shakes and then eating zingers.

We love you guys! Thanks so much for letting us come! I hope we will have many more Rock Springs adventures!

RS here we come!

Tyler and I are off on a fun-filled adventure to the windy city~ No not Chicago, we are heading to Rock Springs to visit the Pollastros! I am so excited, I have missed those wild meowzers like crazy!

Christmas and New Years Holiday

Since January is nearly half over I think it's about time to post a few Christmas pics. Here is the holiday wrap up!
Wednesday Dec. 24th.
I joined Tyler and James for a quick run to Joe's Valley.

That little orange spec is Tyler hiking!

Later that night we went to the annual Grandma and Grandpa Gilson Party!

Christmas Morning! Tyler was gone hunting and then we opened presents. I am one spoiled girl! Tyler gave me some awesome presents and we had a blast surprising each other.

December 26
Tyler was gone hunting for most of the day. For me the day started out with an awesome turbo kick workout with Cammie and Melissa. Next I went rollerblading with Cali and then onto sledding. We were beat!

December 27
More Turbo, followed by Tyler killing his elk. Later that night we did presents with the Gilsons.

Carter was so impressed with Tyler's elk and Cammie overheard the following conversation.
Carter: Tyler I like your elk
Ty: Thanks
Carter: Do you eat it's head?
Ty: No we eat the meat!
Carter (thinking to himself) I like ribs!
Don't we all buddy! He is so dang funny!

December 28
Church

December 29
We drove home and shopped a little on our way. We lounged around and got ready for the big ski day!

Dec. 30 Celebrated our anniversary by night skiing! (see previous post)

Dec. 31 Tyler wanted to go back home to celebrate the New Year with our families. We spent new year's eve at Brian and Jens.

Jan. 1 2009
On New Years Day Tyler, Brandt and me went ice fishing. I have never been before, but I really liked it. After that Tyler and Brandt went shooting.

Jan. 2
We drove back home and relaxed!

It was a wonderful holiday and we had a great time! We are already making plans for next year. I have also been doing some Christmas shopping so I don't leave it all till the last minute in 2009!

3 Years!

On Dec. 27th Tyler and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary. It started with me teaching a turbo kick class and Tyler killing an elk. It is a day I shall always cherish. (Okay, we were home for the holidays so we celebrated on Dec. 30.) We headed to brighton to go night skiing and it was amazing! I was a little nervous because I haven't skied in 10 years! Tyler was such a good coach and got me back on track. Tyler is an awesome snow boarder, and forced me to hit the harder slopes. (Man I'm glad I have him!) I am proud to say that I only crashed once. (getting off the ski lift is harder than it looks!) We skied our guts out, ate some pizza, watched a movie, and relaxed!

What a hot man! Why did he marry a dorky girl like this

3 years later and still having fun everyday!

Happy Birthday Jayna!

Jayna! Happy Birthday! I love you so much I hope all your dreams come true!

Here are a few interesting facts about my sis!
Jayna loves music and is a frequent concert-goer! Her favorite band is bright eyes, although she loves many others too.
Jayna and I met Mikey (her future hubby) at battle of the bands when we were in high school.
Jayna went through a phase where she enjoyed wearing old man pants and shoes!
Jayna works as a family teacher for troubled girls and is also serving in the young women(she knows how to whip the youngsters into shape!)
She is talented, fun, creative, smart, beautiful, amazing, and just down right hilarious!
Jayna here is the cake I picked out for you!

Happy New Year!

First off, I want to wish everyone a happy new year! I hope 2009 treats all of you well! Every new year Tyler and I make predictions about our family. It is really fun to pull them out and see what happened during the year. I love predictions(some came true and others did not) To protect the innocent in our family I will not post all our predictions just a few!

Predictions that came true

Christian got a promotion (a big one!)
Brian and Jen did have a baby girl! Cute little Averie!
Dory did go to SUU
Jayna got a promotion
Some that did not come true
Cammie did not get pregnant and neither did Holly
I did not get a 4.0 (3.7) damn!
Brandt did not get married thank the Lord
Tyler did not go to Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming to pharmacy school (triple thank the Lord)

Please feel free to adopt this tradition in your families! Also, do you any of you have any predictions about Tyler and I for 2009? If you leave me a prediction I will leave you one on your blog!
