Victim

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere...
Martin Luther King, Jr.

When I worked as a victim advocate I had this quote at my desk to remind me that people deserve justice-especially victims of crime. Well today my husband was a victim of a terrible injustice. When I got home from the field house this morning there was a ticket on his truck. The ticket said his parking pass wasn't displayed-which it clearly was. I looked around and saw the ticket fairy had visited quite a few other cars. Ouch! maybe it was the end of the month slump.
Anyway, he went and appealed the ticket and he doesn't have to pay! Hooray. Justice does exist! (Sorry for the dramatics but this school already has enough of my money)

Trainer or biker!????

Last weekend Tyler and I went to Park City to go school shopping. I believe school shopping is a timeless family tradition that should never die (even if you aren't technically in school anymore.) Anyway, I got some great deals and ended up with this colorful shirt. I though it was pretty sassy looking and wanted to sport it today. When I got to work one of my co-workers said, "Hey Bethany are you going bike riding!!!!"
I guess the colors reminded her a colorful spandex bike rider! Oh gosh, is good fashion a crime these days!? I thought is was hilarious!
My friend Isaac had the idea to go outside our office and take a pic of me on this random bike!
Now that I am actually on the bike it sort of does look like a biker shirt. Oh well, just another day at our office!

First Day of School!

I am so proud of Tyler! Today is his first day of pharmacy school. He has his lunch packed up, his shoes tied tight, i hope he doesn't get in a fight! (Billy Madison)
Anyway, it feels like this day would never come! We are very excited to begin this new adventure in our life. Good luck Tyler! Only 4 more years to go!

What a sport letting me take a first day of school pic! Doesn't he look thrilled!

Welcome Home Tyler!

After 4 months of being alone Tyler finally lives in the same house as me! He had a great summer fighting fires, and saving the forests. I am so glad to have him back!
Have you ever wondered what a shirt would look like if you worked 420 hours of over time fighting fires? Just look at the picture and then you will know! Sick! He should have just thrown it in the fire!

Matchers

Has anyone ever had the experience of wearing the same thing as a co-worker?
Back when I was Jr. High at SRJH I was caught wearing the same shirt as one of my teachers. I know that doesn't sound so bad now, but at the time it was mildly traumatic. Ever since then I have hated that weird feeling! Anyway, last Friday when I got to work, guess who was there with the same outfit on??? My Sis! How cute. I’m sure I will never forget that day because “Did you guys plan that” was uttered about 500 times! So what else is there to do in a situation like this? Take a pic and blog about it! Cammie is as short as me! Not really, but trying
Me with my signature cheeser! Who doesn't love that!
No we did not plan it! But that sure would have been cute if we had! (NOT)
Thanks Isaac and Rudy for taking our pics!

Oh Brother.....and Mother in law

My mother in law, Tammi, is truly one of the nicest people I know. She was my young women leader and put up with me during my obnoxious teenage years. Inspite of that fact, she still let me marry her kid! She is a great mother and grandmother, and always make me feel included and loved. But today she has really gone above and beyond the call of duty.

My brother has been working at a farm for the summer and today he and his co-workers killed a ferocious badger! Now you might say, "what does this have to do with my mother in law?" Well Brandt wanted to “preserve the kill” and as it seems badgers need to be frozen before they get skinned. If they are not frozen their LICE, yes LICE will get everywhere! So Brandt called Tammi and asked if he could put his badger in one of their large deep freezers! AND SHE SAID YES!
He is even my own brother and I would have given him a big Hell no with that one. Tammi you are amazing! Above is the actual picture of the badger himself!

Ty and I are ready to BRING IT!

I have been wanting to try this incredible workout forever! It is currently in the mail and heading to our home. We are way excited because we are going to do this workout together (ah, how cute.) If I get brave we may even do before and afters?

Goat Love

I'm not really sure why, but my parents are the proud owners of this little goat! How tender.
