Memorial Day Weekend

I hope all you had a great holiday weekend! I was so excited to get to spend time with Tyler. Being apart sucks but it really makes you appreciate the time you have together.

Friday: Tyler came home! We ate a macaroni grill and relaxed!

Saturday: We shopped the entire day away. Tyler had fun looking and shooting new bows and I shopped my guts out on new school clothes. Yeah shut up I know my program is online, but school shopping is a time honored tradition that should not be lost!!!

Sunday: Church

Monday: We started the day by going to park city (hooray more shopping!). We went to a few other stores and then headed up red butte for a hike. It was so much fun just being together.

Just a few funny Gilson observations from us "non-city kids." This was the first hike I had ever been on with steps, dog crap bags, and a drinking fountain. It was still super beautiful though!

Tyler on the trail!

After the hike we went to our new favorite restaurant Settebello. I found out that this amazing place makes pizza just like the Italians. Tyler, in his little Italian heart, always told me there was nothing like it America. But now there is! The guy who opened the restaurant is from Sicily and this food was amazing. After dinner we had some delicious Gellato (Italian ice cream) The whole experience was so fun. Please come visit and we will take you there! (Christian)

So amazing. It's light, delicious, vegtably goodness! ahh
Here we are in Italy! Jk (we wish)

After dinner we went to the gateway and watched the water fountains for awhile. It was a great weekend. I look forward to this 4 day work week and seeing my husband again!

That looks like a fun weekend. I can't wait to eat pizza with you! Hiking with a water fountain is lame...but the view of the SL valley is awesome {This is the Right Place!}

Two questions: 1. Who took the picture of you guys eating the pizza? Just some random Italian?
2. Who was Tyler sending the vibe out to on that rock? Nice one!

I thought I had it bad when I didn't see RJ two days a week because of our schedules, but now I feel lucky to see him as much as I do. Good Luck with the summer.

Ok. So its official. We are now BLOGGING friends. I'm pretty sure its the best thing to have happened SINCE turbokick tonight. To which I am addicted. Thanks for having me and letting me come! I'm signing up! And I'll see who else in my court wants to come!!!!! You are the best!

And seriously, lets hang out. I'm dying for real Italian, and you seem to know the place, so...yah! Thanks for being our friends!

I saw Tyler in his paren't yard on Wednesday but he didn't see us driving by. Your weekend sounds like it was a blast! There's a paved trail up Cedar Canyon like the one you went on, except that it's paved and has benches to sit on along the way. Definitely not like our EC hikes is it! The Italian place sounds amazing! Is it at the Gateway? I was just there last Tuesday and watched Cody's kids play in the fountain. Maybe you could convince the CD mayor to put one in here.
