July 4th Weekend (Day 1)

Tyler and I decided to take a vacation to Yellowstone. Neither one of us had ever been before so everything we saw was a cool surpirse. It was so much fun, and even better than either of us planned. Here is a picture summary of our first day on the trip.

We left Salt Lake on July 2nd and headed to Jackson. We ate dinner and stopped at the wild life visitor center. Here I am posing by a fake moose, little did I realize what we would see later that evening...
Here is Tyler with a very interesting Elk.
Next we made our way to the Grand Tetons national park. The Tetons are so beautiful and pictures can't really do their size justice.

We entered the park and decided to take a little hike. We turned a corner and found this little fellow about 20 yards away!
Tyler was brave and took a picture! I was feeling pretty scared, but it was awesome. After that small adventure we were off to flagg ranch to camp for the night. Flagg ranch was just 2 miles from the south entrance of Yellowstone and it was a nice little spot.

I loved Yellowstone. We never went to see the Tetons though. Sounds like a good time.

Looks like you had an awesome time. We thought about going there a couple of weeks ago but we didnt realize how far it is. One day we will make it. Seeing your pictures makes me wish we went.

If you went through Afton and didn't stop to see me I am going to be very angry, just kidding I hope you had a fun time. now you need to come and see the intermitting spring in Afton. there is a commercial about it on the Salt Lake Channels.
