Day 1: Duck boats, Space needle, adventures galore!

Saturday March 26th we woke up to a beautiful rainy Washington morning. Jayna and Mike met us at the hotel (where the Warren Jeffs retreat for women was being held) and we headed to Seattle.

We started on the duck boats tour. I would highly highly recommend this experience! These boats were built during WWII to transfer goods all around the Puget sound. They are both a car and a boat. The tour guide was seriously a stand up comedian! This guy had everyone rolling! We saw the space needle, the millions of Starbucks, the pier, where the Beatles stayed when they came to America, pikes place, union lake, Fremont park, and many other popular Seattle sights!
Cali got a duck quacker as a tour souvenir!
You tour all around the city and then hop into union lake. This is the view of the space needle from union lake.
Another duck boat! This is what they look like in the water!
The black boat is a fishing boat from deadliest catch season 2!
Gas works park. I love this idea. A factory burnt down in 1960 and left it's remains. Because the city thought it looked like a playground, they actually turned it into a playground!
Some awesome houses on lake union. We even saw the house from sleepless in Seattle!
My new boyfriend Captian Flip!
The lucky duck boaters getting ready for the fun!
Don't ask! jk Our captain wanted all us of to join him in a rousing rendition of hooked on a feeling. This performance took place on the busy streets of Seattle! All of us had props, meat cleavers, bones etc. to add to the show! It was hilarious!
I was an awesome tour of the city! I will definitely do it again!

Next we were off to the Space Needle!
It only takes a few seconds to get to the top! It's amazing to see all of beautiful Seattle from so high!

Cali was so excited! She is so fun!
The view from the top!

Back on the ground!

Next we head to Ivars for some yummy seafood on the pier. There is nothing like this fish and clam chowder. We also got to feed some french fries to the seagulls flying by!

Next up the amazing Seattle Aquarium!

We visited the aquarium as a family when I was about 8. As a kid I remember it being so amazing. As an adult it was even more amazing. You just can't see this stuff in Utah.
Star fish and other creatures!
These were so bright and so vivid, like a double rainbow all the way across the sky!
My brave little scuba diver. This trip would not have been the same without Cali. She made it so much more fun!
some nice sea life
Outside the aquarium on the pier!
Inside the aquarium dome! You are literally under the fishes and sharks!
On the pier!
Free willy! Me riding a killer whale. Oops you can see the carpet!
We spent the rest of the day running around the pier! There were so many fun memories from my childhood! It was a great day! I love this place!
