Love is in the air!

For all of you out there who enjoy a great love story read on! My brother and sister to be are engaged to be married June 10th!

Brandt and Alexis dated a little in high school and as she revealed at her bridal shower, every day in Shanae Butler's class Brandt would say, "Alexis Swasey someday you are going to wake up and say, I love Brandt Peacock!" what a very insightful 17 year old! Anyway, Brandt left on his mission and he and Alexis wrote faithfully. He would always ask about her when he called at Christmas and he was set on going to BYU so he could date this little cutie. Sadly it was not to be. :(

Brandt returned home from his mission with lots of scottish swag and love in his heart, but Alexis was dating someone else. It was a sad time for him because duh-she was the bomb! A few years passed and at one point he put her number in his phone as "do not answer" Alexis went to BYU and got ready for her mission to Spain. Brandt attended her farewell and they wrote back and forth a little bit.

Okay here is the good part.

When Alexis got home from her misssion in August, Brandt was in Jerusalem. When he got back January, Tyler and I were driving him to Castle Dale. I told him that he should ask Alexis out and he didn't really give it much thought, he was kindof like "no she wouldn't be into me." Okay, so fast foward a few weeks and what name should come up on Brandt's cell phone!!! "Do not Answer!" but thankfully he did answer! Alexis took him country swing dancing and that was it-they were in love. Since January all of us have been enjoying the excitement that is BrAlexis. (okay totally joking about the bralexis thing)

I knew she was the one very early on. In February Brandt and I drove to Rock Springs and he couldn't stop talking about how beautiful, spiritual, funny, sexy, patriotic-yes he did say patriotic she was. I knew she was all of these things, especially patriotic-hello she carried the American flag on her horse in the Castle Valley Pagaent! Anyway, they are so happy and I can't wait for my new sister to become official!

We are all so blessed that Heavenly Father loves us and leads us to who we need to be and who we need to be with. This love story, at least 6 years in the making, has made us all so happy! More to come on this exiting day. Will there be kilt wearing? duh!
