Air Med Adventure!

Today at work as part of our professional development we took a tour of University Health Care's Air Med department. It was so awesome! We even got to go check out the helipad and helicopter.
Air Med was established in 1972 as the 8th air medical transport program in the nation. In 30+ years of existence, Air Med has grown into an outstanding air medical transport service which currently utilizes a combination of four rotor- and two fixed-wing aircraft from six locations throughout the state to transport approximately 2500 patients per year.
Here I am with some of my co-workers. From way up on the helipad there is a beautiful view of the Salt Lake Valley-can you spot the U in the background? Go UTES! I wish Tyler could have been there but he probably would have wanted to jump in and go for a ride-he loves helicopters.

What cool training! I wanted to be a helicopter pilot once. Then I saw how much it cost to do that. I don't so much want to be one anymore.
I went on a date with one of the air med flight nurses once too.
Those helicopters are sweet!

That looks like a very fun outing! Hopefully I NEVER need to use their services!

I've always wanted to ride in a helicopter, and hopefully when my day comes to ride in one, it is not an air med one.
