Guess I hit a nerve

I know Barack Obama isn't perfect. I do not agree with everything he does or says. No president or person is perfect. We have had great leaders that have made awful mistakes, and we have had crappy leaders who have made amazing changes. No leader is going to do it all right. If John McCain were president now I would be saying the same exact thing. Within every presidency there have been good and bad. Instead of whining about potential flaws I am choosing to be positive about a few things that will benefit my life.

We all have our beliefs and opinions. Different issues influence us in diverse ways. I want all of you to know that I respect your beliefs and would never leave hurtful and malicious comments on your blogs.

Dude, you know me, I didn't vote for Obama, but I'm hoping this turns out good. I'm not sure I'm crazy about stimulus packages because, lets face it, we've tried them before, they don't work. I don't hate Obama I just think he didn't realize going into this how hard it really was going to be to do some of the stuff he wants to do, but he's figuring that out and adjusting. Being president sucks: you get blamed for crap that's not your fault and you get credit for stuff that wasn't your idea. Poor guy.

It's not like you can change it now. You just have to be positive (like you Beth) and do what you can with what you are given. Wow. Some people really have strong opinions. I am a glass half full kinda girl and I say it is much healthier to look at the bright side of the situation than to dwell (and bitch and complain) on the not so bright side. Yikes.

I think that your opinions are great, because they are yours! That is the beauty of America!

While Obama has yet to earn my respect I still respect the office he holds and am willing to give him a chance. I didn't like ANY of the candidates for president this time around. What bugs me most about Obama (and of course the media is much to blame) is the Barak-O-Worship so many people seem to feel. Also, if we continue to have breaking news every time he wipes hit butt I'm going to scream!
My problem with this stimulus is how we're going to pay for it later, much later, when you and I are at retirement age. I hope he does a good job now and that it won't be an issue then.
When all is said and done he's still a politician and will say anything to get elected (just like every other politician out there).

I agree with Mari, I think that it's important to give the guy a chance and support him, even if you didn't vote for him. I hope and pray that he succeeds and helps us get out of the messes that we are in. --luke

P.S. talk about weird verification words I got "scankie"!!!
