As I was watching President Obama’s address to congress I couldn’t help but think how grateful I am for a president with such vision. We all have our opinions; I know everyone doesn’t love our President. However, if you don’t watch, don’t read, and choose to sit around and bitch about our president instead of caring about our country you probably don’t want to keep reading.
The stimulus package is not perfect; I honestly don’t believe there is any piece of legislation that doesn’t have some flaw. However, I am choosing to be excited and positive about the changes that will benefit me in my life.
1. 19 billion dollars have been allocated to improve information systems with health care. This is exciting news for me because I currently work in hospital information systems. This is encouraging that health care and the technology used in health care is a priority. This also ensures a lot of job security for me in my career.
2. Tax breaks are being given to families who make less than $250, 00.00. Unlike our past president who enjoyed padding the pockets of his oil friends and giving tax breaks to only 2% of the population.
3. Education: The stimulus plan calls for a $53.6 billion state-stabilization to help states avoid further cuts and layoffs. My dad is an educator and so are many others in my family. This money will also help colleges keep tuition prices reasonable. Funding could also lead to new jobs for teachers and administrators in areas such as Head Start and other early-education programs.
I am grateful for the leadership of our country and I will continue to pray that our leaders will have the insight and direction they need. Barack Obama isn’t a perfect person or President. But I know that he loves

You go girl!!
I've met people who love Pres. Obama and some who honestly think he is the anti-Christ, but I am like you. He loves this country and he is making decisions that he feels are the best thing for us. Whether or not they work out is yet to be seen but I believe that we should support him and prepare ourselves the way that the Lord has directed!
You are totally right. It is refreshing to see our pres so passionate about America. I love to listen to him speak too. I know he doesn't write the speeches but he approves them beforehand. I hope that the plans works as intended. This economy must get better! The house across the street from us has been vacant for a while and I just found out it is going for $280,000. Just 3 years ago it was worth over $450,000. WOW!
WE SHALL SEE... PRAY for our Leader to stand by what he says.
I support our president because if he fails, then that means that America fails. I my not have faith in a lot of the issues that he stands for. I don't approve of his spending, or the idea of nationalized banking and healthcare. I don't think that government is the answer. But, I will support him, that is my American duty, until he does something that I feel is morally wrong or fails to uphold the constitution.
i totally agree with you bethany!! i'm glad somebody posted something..
