These are real dead humans!
Tyler and I have been so excited to attend the Bodyworlds exhibit. Basically it's an exhibit of real human bodies that have been preserved through plastination. The exhibit includes over 200 authentic human specimens including whole body plastinates, organs, translucent body slices, and a special presentation on the heart. It's been in Vegas for a few years, but for a limited time it's being moved to Salt Lake. We saw the ad in the newspaper last night so I jumped right online and bought the tickets. They were a little expensive but we thought it would be worth it.This morning when I got to work I was talking to a friend about how excited we were. Then he told me to check my e-mail. Right there in my inbox was an email saying that all the University Health Care Employees got a free ticket and could bring a guest for free!!! DUH what was I thinking trying to be proactive and prepared.
Tyler is already a big believer of procrastination (I am not) and it's an area of disagreement quite often. I guess this time he won! So now I have 2 tickets which I think my Mom or someone else will buy from me. Oh well!

It paid off this time! I can't wait to see the bodies!
We saw the exhibit here in Arizona when we first moved here. It was so amazing. We were so glad we paid for the ticket to go. ( I would been ticked if someone had bought us one and we had paid too!) The hardest part for me was the baby part because of Ty's small gestation ( 25 weeks) there are lots of "babies" that early that dont' survive. I am glad you got to go!
I'll be totally honest here...I think that exhibit would creep me out too much. I don't do good with that kind of stuff. When I took anatomy in high school, I often had to leave the classroom because that kind of stuff make me wheezy. But none-the-less, it does sound like an interesting exhibit. That sucks that you bought tickets, only to find out you get some for free!
