White Coat Cermony

Today was Tyler’s white coat ceremony. Each year the pharmacy school hosts a ceremony where the students are presented with their first white coat. The students also take a pledge of professionalism and get to be congratulated by the dean and their teachers for being accepted into the field of pharmacy. It was so awesome to see Tyler’s years and years of hard work payoff. I must brag on him because he was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship which is a huge accomplishment. Only 7 students in the entire program received the scholarship. When they read his name and he stood up I got a little teary eyed (but I kept it together pretty well.) Words can’t really describe how proud I am of him. He is such a motivated and smart person. He makes me want to do my best because he is always striving to do his best. I know he will be a great student and an excellent pharmacist. Thanks to Cammie for sharing this special day with us and for taking awesome pictures.

Woo hoo! That's cool that you get the white coat first thing. Although I would prefer to wear scrubs, I guess they're not professional enough for a pharmacist. The picture of the chest that Cammie took is really cool! And a huge congratulations on the scholarship. That is extremely impressive!
